CBTBR team member receives SU rector's awards

Prof Tommie Victor was awarded the Stellenbosch University Vice-Counselors award for excellence in medical research. Prof Victor is known for his valued contributions to the TB field. With over 17 publications over the past 3 years, his current projects aim to understand the dynamics of drug resistant TB in local communities.  He is also Principal Investigator in Welcome Trust and NIH grants with collaborators at prestigious institutions like Imperial Collage, London and Harvard university, USA. The local communities and students benefit from these projects and resources. Recently he has obtained a B rating by the NRF. He has been part of the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Stellenbosch University, for 30 years and is a core member of the CBTBR.
